Beauty of Calligraphy Calligraphy is a sublime art. In which a man expresses his inner feelings of aesthetic sense through this art the words are balanced in a specific order and composition is beautified keeping in view the classical aspects of calligraphy. It is a great source of inspiration and expression of spiritual and aesthetic sense in a profound way. The great countries like Turkey, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan & many other countries worked for up lifting of calligraphy .The classical calligraphists enriched it and made it beautiful, mosques , shrines and different buildings were decorated with calligraphy. Through calligraphy , Sadqain, Yousaf Suddedi and Khurshid Alam Gohar earned name & fame. They studied and made new horizons in calligraphy .Every person who sees Quranic work feel spiritual uplift in thoughts.Calligraphers are tributed much through out the world. In islamic countries, calligraphy is a particular aspect of culture & civilization. All Muslims use it to recognize their identities. No doubt, calligraphy has enlightened the Muslim as well as world heritage .Calligraphy is the base of expressionism. People use it for title page of book and many other art work.

From the very beginning a child is stressed to write more & more to understand language and to learn the day today needs. No doubt, calligraphy is a sober and sublime work of art and it has beautified the cultural heritage.

Biography

Mr. M. Asghar Mughal is one of the renowned Calligraphists. He got his early education from M.C. High School Okara & started working as a painter after his schooling in 1967. He performed his services as an honorary Calligraphy teacher of calligraphy in the same School. Then his love for art took him to the famous commercial painters namely Sabir Hussain & Zahid Hussain.
He is the only artist who started Calligraphy without brush and created masterpieces. He introduced color-pouring media and gave birth to a new style of multi dimensional aspects of color in the art. No doubt, there was a time when his landscapes were decorated in the drawing rooms. Now most of his time is spent on Calligraphy. He proved that enthusiasm, devotion & loyalty, opened new & novel horizons of purified art. He participated in many exhibitions and got honor & respect. His Calligraphic work is not only, liked in the Country but throughout the world also. The Daily newspapers like “Nawa-e-Waqat”, “Din” and “Shelter” Faisalabad, published special edition on his Art.

Here we are mentioning some of his achievements during his artistic career.

1. He participated in International Exhibition at Alhambra, Lahore in 1998 and got certificate of honor.
2. M.C. H/S Okara awarded him a trophy as brilliant student.
3. He joined Art Extravaganza 2001, held at Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi, and was given title “The Artist of the Year”.
4. He participated in Art Exhibition 2003 at National Council of Arts Islamabad and got certificate of honor.
5. He joined Punjabi Program “Mela” in 2003 at PTV. Lahore. He was appreciated and applauded for his works of Art.
6. He arranged a Painting & Calligraphic Exhibition in 2003 under ‘Adara Farooge Fan-o-Adab” Sahiwal. Papers were read about this genius Artist.
7. He also participated in 3 International Exhibition in 2004 at Alhambra Lahore and was awarded.
8. He also participated in international Calligraphy & Khat-Art at Alhmra, Lahore during October2004 and was certified a good artist.
9. He arranged an Exhibition under UNESCO Punjab Lok Boll Mela in 2004 at Dèpalpur, Distt. Okara. His work was appreciated by foreign delegations and Z-TV recorded and telecasted his work in the Exhibition.
10. A Calligraphic Exhibition 2004 was arranged at Baldia Hall Okara and he was awarded a Shield.
11. A Talent Award Show 2004 was arranged by Okara Art Council & “JANG” newspaper Lahore. District Govt. Okara gave him Artist of the Year award.
12. A Talent Award Show was arranged in 2004 by “Nawa-e-Waqat”. Mugal was awarded a Shield.

He says “I am lucky who has got name & fame with the grace of Almighty Allah arid with the prayers of my Parents & Teachers”. He wishes that his painting-work may get access in the Sacred and Holy House of Muhammad (Peace be upon him). We hope, inshallah, God will provide him with such an opportunity as he is painting His Holy Verses. Undoubtedly, he is preaching through his calligraphic works. Mr.Asghar says that his creations are not for the creatures but for the creator who will forgive him on the day hereafter.

III International Exhibition of Calligraphy
(September 10 — 12, 2010, Velikiy Novgorod)

“International Exhibition of Calligraphy” is the largest project in the world dedicated to the culture of writing and script as a refined art. Since 2009 the project has been carried out under the aegis of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. The exhibition’s high level is proved by UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry).

From September 16 till September 21, 2008 the first in Russia International Exhibition of Calligraphy was very successfully held in St. Petersburg and the second exhibition took place in Moscow from October 14 till November 14, 2009. The figures are eloquent of the exhibition popularity: in comparison to the previous year, the number of visitors increased twofold and amounted to 30,000 people. The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

III International Exhibition of Calligraphy will be organized in Velikiy Novgorod (September 10 — 12, 2010) at the Yaroslav’s Court. The venue is not a chance thing. Velikiy Novgorod is the treasurer of the thousand-year long Russian culture and the ancient centre of Orthodox Christianity. The latter is especially important. The art of calligraphy preserves and supports culture and religious traditions of various countries. In the meantime it unites people of different confessions of multinational Russia and other countries; it demonstrates the unity of spiritual and moral principles of the human civilization. The idea is emphasized in the welcome addresses of the clerical leaders of the main religious confessions among which is the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar and Mufti Sheikh Rawil Gaynetdin, Chairman of the Mufti Council of Russia.

Guests of the III International Exhibition of Calligraphy will see the exhibits from more than 40 countries of the world. Among the exhibits are the calligraphic paintings, applied calligraphy, writing materials and utensils. Also such unique masterpieces as Golden Quran, Decalogue, Holy mantra, Tsar-Mezuzah and others will be displayed at the event. Calligraphy works from the collection “Sacral calligraphy” will form the basic part of the exhibition. The cultural and entertainment program will be a hard-driving one with master classes of the world famous artists-calligraphers, festival concerts, project “the world cuisine”, project “night of museums” (September 11), also a wakeboarding show competition and wakesurfing show performance with participation of the best proriders from Russia, Europe and Asia.
